Would a 707HP Hellcat Powered 300 Breathe Life Into The Sagging Chrysler Brand?

Would a 707HP Hellcat Powered 300 Breathe Life Into The Sagging Chrysler Brand?

Out of all Fiat Chrysler brands, Chrysler has held a fairly low profile over the last few years, especially since the 300 SRT left the US market back in 2015. However, spy shots indicate that FCA may be considering another SRT 300. The test mule in question seems to be utilizing 315 mm tires and four-piston Brembo calipers which would indicate significant performance improvements over the current 300-horsepower, 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 found in the 300S.

Although the Chrysler 300 utilizes a majority of its parts and full chassis from the Dodge Charger, FCA has not blessed it with the 6.4-liter V-8 or 6.2-liter supercharged V-8 found in the Scat Pack and Hellcat. SRT 300s are still on sale in other markets outside of the United States, so it's possible this prototype might be more along the lines of a Hellcat variation.

Yes, for about 3.5 seconds, then it'll be back to normal. Redesign the car.

Chrysler is a dead issue. They should simply re-badge the Pacifica as a "RAM" and close Chrysler down. Or they could rebadge the Dodge cars as Chryslers - and get rid of Dodge.

Large sedans are not selling - so a re-design would have to hit all the buttons to be worthwhile and FCA cannot do that.

Yes, if the acquiring company is called "707HP Hellcat Powered 300 Inc.".

Hell yeah. There are enough family men needing a 4 door for wife and family and 707 horsepower for their own soul. Is their any 4 door even close to price that can compete...hell no. It will sell.

No, but they SHOULD put the 707HP engine in a super-performance, AWD Hellcat Maserati Quattroporte.

Go ahead, jump the shark Maserati!

No. There would be some 300 Hellcat buyers but after those 2 dozen people are satisfied, it will be all over.

Putting the Hellcat in the other 300s (Quattroporte and Ghibli) is a bolt in bit of engineering.

Chrysler needs SUVs.

The Chrysler lineup could use any or or all of the following:

Grand Cherokee
Cherokee
Durango
Journey

...to be just as competitive as the other US automakers. This blatant mismanagement is just getting to be really ridiculous today.
