Could A BMW 5-Series Cross Touring Work For The U.S.?
If you exclude a select few vocal enthusiasts on the internet and even less actual paying customers who'd love nothing more than a powerful stick-shift estate, for the most part, Americans couldn't care less about wagons.

SUVs are all the rage these days, which is why some automakers try to trick consumers with high-riding wagons like the Volvo V90 Cross Country and Mercedes-Benz E-Class All-Terrain.

Of course - how does BMW justify selling the 550i 'gran turismo' here which basically sits on dealer lots like dog turds and not offer the beautiful 5-series estate/wagon/touring?

BMW offers so many other stupid vehicles to the US Market - why not sell the 5-series wagon?

It looks good in the picture. But then I like minivans (preferably the smaller size one like) and station wagons so I'm biased.

I'd buy it. The 3-series wagon is too small and sadly no longer sold with stick. I sold my Sportwagen TDI back to VW in the settlement and am waiting to buy my next Eurowagon (either V90 or E400) on the pre-owned market in a few years, so this BMW would be very welcomed.

I love the wagons. SUV practicality with sedan handling, what's not to like? I bought a 3 series wagon and by the time we outgrew it BMW stopped the 5. They need to do an air suspension on this for a little lift and market it against the Volvo and Audi

The problem is that sheeple don't see that crossovers are more tipsy wagons.

A guy up the street from me has a mid 2000's 5 Series Wagon. Or maybe late 90's. It looks great and it is his daily driver.
