LEAKED! The BMW 8-Series Concept Gets Fully EXPOSED — Can YOU Dig It?
You don't have to be a basketball fan to know of Shaquille O'Neal. The seven-foot-monster is known for his years on the Los Angeles Lakers, where he coined the phrase:

"Can you dig it?!"

While a luxury, German automaker has absolutely NOTHING to do with the NBA or Shaq, I do think I have to ask the same question of the Spies when it relates to the all-new BMW 8-Series concept. Slated to make its big-time debut soon, it appears someone got their hands on some premature information and decided to break the embargo.

Our friends at Carscoops appear to be those guys.

Although I have more details to share with you, I'd rather take the high road on this one and stick to the script.

Stay tuned to what tomorrow brings...

After owning 4 BMWs, they lost me during the Flame Surface era. They haven't caught my eye since. That's not to say they don't make great cars. It's just that their styling language doesn't appeal to me, and hasn't for a while.

It's OK looking, but it looks more counterfeit-Chinese BMW than the real thing. It has more than a few strange elements and the proportions are almost right, but off. I'm not thrilled by it.

I feel like BMW is trying too hard these days. I'm not really feeling this vehicle.

Uhhhh.... No. ...Underwhelming is the design language I'm seeing.

A very DB9/ DB11 inspired design in my view. Posters have to remember who the buyer / lessee is for a car like this. It is not supposed to look like a GTR nor should be it extremely odd like the new Lexus coupe. It looks as it should coming from a German brand that knows quite a bit about its customer base.

Meh, nothing special stands out about it.

The fact of the matter is... buyers do not really care for (or buy!) two-door coupes - it has become a tiny segment. Unlike the old days, when families would buy two-door cars as their family car or only car (so the kids are "safe" in the back seat without the risk of them falling out of the open doors), today a two-door is a second, third, or fourth car. Its basically an impulse purchase.

This is good enough I guess but BMW is going to be disappointed with the sales volume.

The only group that consistently loves two-doors is car designers.

What an ugly ass.

This is dead on arrival. It lacks the exterior design (it looks like a cheap Aston Martin), it will lack the driving dynamics of the Ultimate Driving Machine slogan and it will lack the interior quality of a car costing $140K-$150K.

BMW needs to really work on improving sales of its 5-Series and 7-Series models along with SUVs before it starts jumping into the tiny segment of $140K luxury coupes. This shows the company's strategic priorities are mismanaged.

Mercedes-Benz will continue to dominate the luxury coupe segment for the foreseeable future with the S-Class Coupe.

Blah blah blah. Made up conjecture from the paid Audi troll.

I don't like the rear bumper or exhaust finishers, they both look too Lexus for my tastes. I'm sure those will be toned down on the production model. Looks great to me otherwise. Love the profile.

First they made the headlight mad and then evil mad.
Now, BMW has managed to emulate the terrifying look of a toothy, savage monster grille on a car!

Get out of my way or I will BITE you!

I like it. Not gonna lie. But BMW will need to stay true to this concept and not dumb it down for production for it to keep my interest. There's definitely something very Aston about it and it might lack a bit of the panache of the S-Coupe. But I'd easily choose this (in this form)over the Lexus LC.

Oh, and before our resident Hyundai expert pipes up, I will acknowledge that a Sonata will be cheaper to maintain, and will get better mileage.

I like it. A little too aggressive for my tastes, but it's sleek and eye-catching.

I'll reserve judgement until I see more and better photos. So far it's just OK. Doesn't make me swoon like some Benzes do.

The other thing I'll add is that is looks 10x's better than the Prologue concept from Audi, which looks like a bloated whale in comparison.
