We especially like the fact that it can swivel towards either back seat passenger...

I don't like this one...I like the one that comes on the rough...

Lol----that might be the ugliest and most impractical video system yet----barely edging out the "mount the dvd player ON the seat" porsche cayenne!

Wait a minute, are those partial leather seats, it looks in the bottom right corner that there is a type of pattern, and at the top of the drivers seat (just below the headrest)

those are the perforated/air conditioned comfort seats. The pattern you're seeing is the perforations in the leather, a la the 7-series.

why don't they put the system in the headrest ?

Because BMW used up all their techno knowledge on the iDrive system.

Geesh, that much for a car and you don't even have a dual screen-split DVD system?? Shame....

Probably because in a collision the back seat passengers would Head-Butt the LCD-Screens in the Head Rests

You know that screen also controls radio and cd in the backseat.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^COMPLETE BOLLOCKS^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Compared to the Messed up Retinas of people being to close to the LCD Sreens (HeadRest Mounted Screens are usually less than 1.5 foot away from their EyeBalls)

I'm also confused...

With all the tech controls and gee-wiz gadgets, BMW opted to install an armrest-mounted DVD screen? Huh?!

DVD screens in the headrests seems more appropriate for this luxury-sport vehicle. The controls can stay in the same place or be moved to the doors respectively.

Come on BMW...don't come cheap and silly now.

Two headrest mounted DVD screens are part of BMW Individual editions.

But it shouldn't be. "All hail the BMW", is exactly what we hear from the BMW all the time about how superior every single on of their cars is.

And I bring up my point about placing companies in tiers. Overall interior...average. So to me, that's not what (whatever is one) a tier one.

Armrest mounted DVD....how lame.
