Volkswagen's Recovery Continues With A 4.3% Gain In May Sales
Volkswagen of America, Inc. (VWoA) today reported sales of 30,014 units delivered in May 2017, a 4.3 percent increase over May 2016. With 133,861 units delivered year-to-date in 2017, the company is reporting an increase of 6.9 percent in year-over-year sales.

May 2017 also marks the start of sales for the all-new, Chattanooga, Tenn. built Atlas. Deliveries of the vehicle, which began mid-month, totaled 1,610 units.

Looks like VW is in the clear from all of that Dieselgate nonsense.

I'm a little surprised by the decline in Golf R's. I've been seeing so many on the road. They're such great little pocket rockets!

I think a lot of people are waiting for the 2018 Golf R's as there are some significant changes/improvements.

Next month should be better as availability of the Atlas improves.

Yes, the mid-sized sedan segment is in a slump, but sales of the Passat would have to double to be considered a mediocre volume for the segment.

looks like the release of the TDI Sportwagens was the difference in sales
