Toyota Remains At The Top Of Most Valauble Automotive Brands - Tesla Jumps To Number 8

Toyota defended its title as the world's most valuable car brand in a new ranking, holding off BMW and Mercedes-Benz. Tesla, meanwhile, made the biggest improvement, rising two spots to No. 8 because of a 32 percent increase in its brand value.

Toyota's brand value decreased 3 percent to $28.7 billion as increased sales were offset by tough currency challenges as well as increased investment and rising labor costs, according to the BrandZ Top 100 Most Valuable Global Brands study released by market researcher Kantar Millward Brown.

I'm surprised that BMW and Mercedes even made it higher than top 10, considering how stale their product lineup is nowadays, and how behind MB BMW's sales have been in the past two years.

I guess Toyota is just that much attractive as a brand than BMW, which is truly sad because they're not even a luxury company.

We all know that these rankings are just arbitrary, considering that Audi should really be number one. Audi has been unstoppable with its amazing sales growth, many design awards, overall packaging, and top of class performance.

Once Audi starts selling the A1 and the Q2 in more markets, Audi will steadily replace Toyota as the number one brand in the world!

Without a doubt. Model 3 is on time, the number of Tesla owners is going to double by the end of next year. It will double again by 2020.

I said Tesla owners, not annual sales. They should be able to sell around a million cars in 2020. How many F-series trucks are sold each month, 100,000? Tesla sells grid storage and solar panels as well, that won't be their only revenue stream or brand contributor.

I wonder what the stock price would be if Ford Trucks was spun off as a separate company. They must have better margins that even Porsche on a per unit basis. Demand for the F-Series seems to grow and continue on unabated.
