Next Gen NSX May Go To Fully Electric And Target Porsche 918 Spyder Performance
The next-generation Honda NSX could be fully battery powered, using four electric motors to generate acceleration that could potentially carry it from 0-62mph in 2.5secs and 0-124mph in 6.2sec - making it more potent than a Porsche 918 Spyder.

The revelation that a potential all-electric NSX is under consideration was made by Sekino Yosuke, Honda's head of research and development, during a demonstration of the firm’s 1000bhp Pikes Peak race car, the NSX-inspired 4-Motor Acura EV Concept.

Seriously doubt it. Won't believe it until I see it. It's FULLY electric AND faster than the impossibly high tech 918?

This is Honda we're talking about. Only took them about a decade to develop the NSX and suddenly they'll bring out an electric hypercar? Sounds more ridiculous than a mid-engine Corvette.

Acura: I suggest you shift your focus to creating vehicles that us regular people want. This will result in getting your unit sales numbers up, and it'll change the public's perception of the company that once was the only Asian luxury car manufacturer, and is now an also-ran in the (arguably) premium car sector.

How about an NSX V8?

With the growing number of unsold NSX's currently on ebay and in dealer showrooms, I would like to think Honda would take great pause before it turned its attention to creating another supercar. The current so called NSX does not deserve a sequel.

Indeed.

Honda's arrogance is centered in believing it can build a "Lamborghini" and be taken seriously without having built a "Corvette" first and earned some credibility.

The NSX minus the hybrid garbage and priced like a Corvette would have done wonders for Acura.
