Our ace in the hole, Fred Khaz, is up to it again. According to Khaz, his friend recently passed along an image. And, it's a good one.

That's because it's of an all-new spy car we haven't seen before.

While Agent 001, 009 and I have examined the picture, we can't quite place it. 001 has an idea but as of now there's nothing solid that makes us say "This is definitely car 'X'."

Having said that, we wanted to bring it to YOU to see if any of the Spies can tell us what this vehicle is. Is it an Acura? Infiniti? Genesis? Lexus? Something else?

Remember, it was spied in southern California on Route 22 East. There's a slew of automotive headquarters and design centers in that region so that should only complicate matters. The vehicle is clearly equipped with distributor plates, which is standard practice for automotive manufacturer fleet autos.

Clearly whatever it is, the car is still relatively early in its development. Hence the rather heavy camouflage applied to its body, which really makes distinguishing its ass-end difficult.

Not garish enough to be a Lexus.
It's dull and bland enough to be an Acura or an Infiniti.
Too bad no additional pictures exist.

It looks pretty plain to me. I would say its some Genesis model.

Above the beltline, it has the current Q70's silhouette between the A & C pillar, so if I'm guessing then that would be the Infiniti. However if that's the case then that means Infiniti is sticking to using the enhanced FM platform for it's models, making even further distinction between it and the Maxima, if that's the case kudos!!!!

but then Genesis has been copying everyone so it could be them, lol

The greenhouse is identical to the Acura TLX rear 3/4 view as are the overall proportions. It looks nothing like the infinity with its C-pillar kink.

Acura is already working on the next generation TLX to follow after the next Accord launch.

Look at existing spy shots of the Genesis G70. The profile is practically identical to the TLX and ES.

Looks fairly bland and basic, so either a Acura or Genesis.

I am guessing this is the new Accord to be honest. Honda's renderings show a stance similar to this vehicle.

Easy, quick-initial glance screams Honda Accord...

Reading through the comments boring, bland (Acura/Honda) fits the bill.
