2018 Buick Regal TourX Starts At Just Under $30K
If we're to believe companies like Jaguar and Buick, the wagon market is back on the upswing. The latter introduced its new Regal TourX back in April, and together with the standard hatchback model, rolled out an entirely new design direction for the brand, based on European Opel Insignia.

But what really matters is how much the darn thing will cost. When it hits dealerships in just a few months, the Regal TourX will undercut most competitive luxury wagons with an MSRP of under $30,000, according to a new report from CarsDirect.

The new Regal will be dead in the water like the old Regal.

There was a time when the kids were still home that I bought almost completely Station Wagons (That was before Vans and most Suvs) - I still remember one 1964 Chevy wagon with the rear facing third seat - and I put a cargo carrier on top for the tent and we went to the Montreal Expo. I also had several Taurus/Sable wagons as well.

I wish there were still large station wagons beyond the Ford Flex - which is Hideous. I still would prefer them over a crossover. Still - I love my Mini Van and so do the grandkids - and greatgrand kids too.

Unfortunately I have to agree with Matt - the Regal might sell some - but not in any impressive numbers to justify bringing it from German production from what will be another company by then. While Buick does need a car in that size range - an Alpha(or replacement) based sedan is likely the future of the segment - when they produce them outside of OPEL.
