If The BMW iM2 Looked Like THIS, Would You Be Cracking Open The Checkbook?
BMW M cars are famous in the best sense of the word. Even though some say they've gone soft, the M3 and M5 have been setting benchmarks for decades.

But what makes them good and how do they do it? Well, it's all about having one car that can act as a daily driver, so it's comfortable and practical, yet can handle circuit work. Whether that's about going fast in down a straight runway hidden in the forest near Moscow or down the Nurburgring is pretty much up to you to decide.

Has BMW borrowed a Lexus designer or two? This styling would inspire me to stay *out* of BMW's showrooms.

In my opinion, this look is a giant step in the wrong direction for BMW.

You always summarise the articles in your comments, so have to ask, did you read the article?

Firewombat: You have a point. I should have been explicit in stating that this is *NOT* a BMW design. It's just some guy's rendering.

I found this quote from the article quite interesting "Whether that's about going fast in down a straight runway hidden in the forest near Moscow" Who is driving this car, someone from the Trump campaign?

BMW has to be careful. If it's missing that legendary kidney grill, it it really a BMW?

But on the flipside, if their other i-series cars looked similar to that, they'd been selling 2x-3x as many.

Looks like a SEMA special one off show car.
After looking at it for a while, I feel it is only curious due to its different extreme proportions. However, ultimately it is not a design worthy of production. Without a grill intake, it suggests full electric propulsion.
