Why Hasn't Subaru Made A WRX Version Of The Crosstrek?
I know I’m getting older because the 2018 Subaru Crosstrek is finally starting to make sense to me. Listen, if you need a small, pragmatic, cheap car with all-weather capability, and don’t require WRX or WRX STI speed, it’s probably a great buy. But for those of us who like the idea of the Crosstrek and would miss all that turbo power, I ask: why can’t we get both?

Maybe they have a brain and are smart enough not to dilute the value of the WRX badge. Oldsmobile had the Cutlass which was a name that meant something and then they gave every Oldsmobile that name and soon the name was trashed and meaningless.

AMG once meant something, but now it's just a trim level.

Subaru might be about the only smart and sensible automaker left. Everyone else is chasing their tails and Subaru is just being Subaru. They are doing many things right.
