LOOKING For The Tesla Model 3 Party Happening TONIGHT? SEE The FIRST Customers Of The Model 3...

Tesla Model 3’s party is tonight, but how can those of us who aren’t on the exclusive invite list watch the event? A live stream will be available on Tesla's website, either directly on the main page, or through the Events and Presentations section on the Investor Relations page. As of this writing, the link has not been posted yet.

At the party, 30 people are set for a great time, out of the hundreds of thousands of people who have put down $1,000 deposits for a Tesla Model 3, the company’s first electric car to be sold on such a large scale. These 30 people will be receiving a Tesla Model 3, for $35,000. Notably, these people are most likely all Tesla employees, who are prioritized on the long list of names waiting for the car.

The event will be at 8:45PM in Pacific time (11:45PM ET).

I think I can get over the "interesting" appearance of the grill-less front, but that sparse dash without an HUD is likely beyond my acceptance. Overall, I'll just have to see it in person.

The look and feel of the interior as seen in the reveal shots is obviously way more upscale than the previously released photos, but I too would have a hard time adjusting to this. I sure would like to try it though -

First reviews are in and they're overwhelmingly positive. Motor Trend got the first real drive and they absolutely loved it. Said it handles better than a Giulia, which is saying a lot.

Alfa Romeo is a bad example. They couldn't make a reliable toaster!

You have noticed that car magazines always gush over new cars, right? That there's no objectivity, right? It's how the game is played. If you're a part of the press, you don't get invited to the next drugs-and-prostitutes product reveal if the manufacturer doesn't think your review was zippy enough.

Due to back injury seat quality has become paramount. Will have to test, but will be "forced" to premium package. Standard battery is fine for me.
HAve to check, but think I can live with the dash. (Still: would have preferred etc.) High hopes that they will have a reasonable interface.
Surprised by the "low" weight.

The interior is so minimalist that I believe it will turn off buyers. The lack of a speedometer or HUD will take getting used. I also think people will be disappointed that for $35K they don't even get power seats. The touch screen might look cool but it makes simple tasks very distracting. Unless buyers get the $5K package with the power seats, wireless phone charging etc. (which not everyone will) the Model 3 is pretty much as bare bones as you can get.

Tesla got the price down but what it sacrificed to achieve the $35K price is pretty surprising.
