The new E-Class seems to be doing well all over the world except in the US.

We have to remember the sedans in general aren't doing as well as they once were in the U.S. Americans are falling in love with crossovers and SUVs and ditching the family sedan in favor of them.

While the E Class is not performing at its usual pace, it's still currently the best selling lux sedan and its class and will maybe leapfrog with the 5 series in coming months.

Is it tne best selling? The E-Class sales figures include more than just the sedan so very little chance it's selling more than the 5-series.

Wow...MB is killing it with this generation of cars, and they haven't even redesigned the ML/GL to being them up to par with the current generation. The E class isn't doing so well in the US because they made it way too expensive to get a V6 by only putting it in the "AMG" version. Looks like the product people at MBUSA realized this and a E400 is coming for MY2018.

Correct, down 1.8% YTD and down 9.2% compared to July last year so my point was that I'm not sure what sales meeting anyone is walking into where you have both YTD and YTY sales figures showing a decline and describe that as "killing it"
