The upcoming 2018 Genesis G80 Sport will be a new feather in the brand’s cap
The 2018 Genesis G80 Sport has an aggressive look with its black chrome all over the car. The detailing has been minutely done along the car’s cross hatched grille, its wheels’ center caps, and around the doors. Apart from that the softer edges and the devil’s eyes like headlights give it a clear sporty vibe. Genesis G80 is also 118.5 inches in length, making it very roomy for a mid-size sedan.

The 2018 Genesis G80 Sport is also 118.5 inches in length, making it very roomy for a mid-size sedan. The copper detailing accentuated on the exterior is also present inside the car, though in more subtle tones. However, its carbon fiber is present in larger proportions on inside the car and thus, dominates over the copper detailing. The Genesis G80 continues with its sporty drive with leather steering wheel, black suede headliner, and sport alloy pedals.

The vehicle’s seats have a great shape and adjust well to its passengers. The car’s interior also boasts of an audio system, a navigation system, and a head up display compatible with both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The 2018 Genesis G80 Sport is also roomy as compared to its previous versions.

@Asspy11 You're not sorry, so stop pretending. I wouldn't want to get the impression that you're a hypocrite.

Will be a good alternative for those shopping Acura, Lincoln and Buick.

Acura and Buick should be especially worried.

I give them credit for at least trying something new on the grill - otherwise it looks like any generic sedan.

I like the enhanced front-end styling, but it looks like someone forgot about the rear. It looks imbalanced, like the girl with the enhanced chest but forgot to do squats in the gym.

Sadly, the reading I have done and the video reviews from those that have driven the car, say that the G80 delivers Sport in the appearance but not enough in the driving dynamics. The Koreans are close to being a real threat to the German sport sedans, but not there just yet...

THe Cadillac V-series was a credible threat to the German sports sedans too -and THEY actually had the power and the suspension to compete - but it really did not happen.

People who buy the "real thing" are not looking for knock-offs made in a cheaper place - they want the "prestige" and "panache' of the real thing that they don't have to make excuses for. That is why Cadillac will never bring out a car to compete with the Rolls Phantom - even a pure bread German FAILED at that one. THE Maybach was without doubt a far superior car - but people were not looking to a superior car - they wanted a real Rolls Royce. And today - the Mercedes Maybach S 12 cylinder - certainly can claim the title as a superior car to the Phantom and the Mulsanne too- but it does not have the exclusivity -nor the real "class" of the real thing.

If you cannot afford the real thing - buy a Genesis - people will know WHY (Because you are cheap). It will be DECADES before the Koreans actually enter the upper tier with the Genesis. They simply don't understand what being RICH is!.

I mean, I kind of get where you're coming from. Genesis is to MB as Maybach is to RR... I also hope you're not driving tonight because Tom, if you think in any way that the Maybach was the superior car to the Bentley and RR, with an old MB V12 under the bonnet, in a car that looked like the S-class, then I would also like some of what you're drinking. Ditto to the "V" whatever it's called.

Tom is on point. Ask Acura or Infiniti how making a luxury brand is going and if they are getting any conquest sales from Mercedes, BMW or Audi and Lexus. It isn't the same. If you want the real thing, go buy it. But don't kid yourself that something else is the same as the genuine article. It isn't.

Didn't necessarily disagree with that did I, my point was calling a Maybach a superior product to the other cars in its class
