Not about banning the car or the series. Reading the article helps. Just a really poor event naming choice and car combo coincidence. There are more important things to complain about for sure. Not sure how "Roadkill Nights" ever got approved internally by anybody in Marketing at Dodge. I am sure the local police (who hate street racers and street racing) loved the connotation too. Change the name of the series (Mopar Drag Nights...) and keep it running. So long as it is done on a closed roadway and it gives car owners a safe spot to see what their cars can really do. While I agree that limiting the group to car topics and leaving the politics to some other place is desired - It won't happen - unless the moderators start editing posts - a drastic action. I believe that this whole mess was improperly handled - by the media and the politicians. AND - hard to believe - as a Liberal - I also support SOME of Mr. Trumps remarks. He is - afterall - the President who has sworn to uphold the constitution - which includes the Bill of RIGHTS - and that includes freedom of speech and expression. AS much as I am against the alt-right desires for new discrimination - which I would shout against at the highest volume I could - I live in the USA - and people do have the right to say what they want - even if it would be against the law to actually do. AND - I am lucky to have the VERY smartest mother in the world - not any other one comes close - and I can recall her saying - if you do not want to get hit - try staying far away from the fight.

Free speech is a welcome part of any democracy. As is a free press. However (I checked with the police station in my area today) walking around at night with torches, chanting "Jews will not replace us", "Blood and Soil", "Who's streets?...Our Streets!" would get you stopped by the cops, questioned, have your torches taken away and extinguished and be charged with a hate crime. And while I agree with what TomM said (I have a smart Mom too .... riots are indeed dangerous) murder is still murder.

Toronto police investigated yet no charges were laid. This is a hate crime by every definition yet no charges were laid by the coward police as to not to offend the Muslims. If it were a Rabbi saying death to the Muslims all Synagogues would be immediately shuttered and non stop government condemnation and shaming would ensue.

Enforce laws equally to all or it is racial discrimination PERIOD. No special treatment for ANYONE.
