Save your euphemisms for your next clan rally. The Golf GTI starts at $25.5k and the Clubman is closer in size to GTI than the regular 4 door Cooper, which is quite a but smaller inside and in overall dimensions.

The GTI's average transaction price hovers near $30K as quite coincidentally does the Cooper S. I realize that you have no way to know anything about how car sell in the real world. I am constantly monitoring average transaction prices.

In response to the actual car issue, if you've been in a current model Mini Cooper and a GTI you'd realise how much smaller the Mini is.

Mini actually names the GTI as a Clubman competitor and in other markets where cars like the MB A-class, BMW 1-series and Audi A3 are sold and the Golf is compared with those sized cars not the class below, where the Mini and Audi A1 compete.

Oh, and on the use "euphemism", the fact that you couldn't read the sarcasm in my statement by describing "pathetically dense" as a euphemism is unfortunate, it does require some intelligence and I'm not going to comment on yours but I think maybe you should look up 'euphemism' and 'sarcasm' then read my comment again. If you knew ANYTHING about the marketing of the Mini Cooper S, you'd know that direct in its crosshairs is the GTI despite the difference in size.
