Ford Says This Car Doesn’t Exist
Despite news to the contrary, we have seen a few Mercury versions of the Ford Freestyle around the Detroit area in the past week. Last night we were able to get close enough to take a look at the D3-platform car and take a few camera phone shots of the new Mercury Monticello.

The reason this car doesn't exist is because it doesn't.

Ford seriously needs to revamp their minivan lines. Inefficient V6's and poor interior materials mean poor sales, especially since Chrysler makes such nice vans, not to mention Honda and Toyota.

Their minivans are actually being discontinued this year, and the reason for this phasing out is because of the new crossovers, the Ford Edge and Lincoln MKX, and a rumored Mercury version.

Why bother disguising it -- nobody wants to see it anyways. Wait, I know why: it probably looks better that way. The masking adds some flair to an otherwise boring exterior.

I wonder if the Vegas bookies are taking bets on when Ford goes belly up?

Looks like a ford territory to me.

The Ford Freestyle we have here is essentially the exact same car as the Territory, but with what I think is a weaker engine and more bland front-end styling.

I hope Ford goes under. It will be funny that one of the first vehicle brands ever to come out will be taken down by brands that have been around for less than 50 years. Plus, Fords suck.

Oh yeah,
they've stopped making the Ford Taurus. Eventually, they'll have to seize production of all of their vehicles and go bankrupt.

So whats your plan for all the unemployeed people that now work for Ford or have you ever thought about that. I think if Ford goes under this country is going to see some real troubles.. how many people does Ford employ in this country??? And how much does Ford pay in taxes.. And how much does all their employees pay in taxes .. better yet who is going to employee all these people once it goes under..

Ford has already laid off a bunch of people and closed down a lot of plants. There aren't many more people left to loose their jobs. Did you ever think about that?
