NAME and SHAME: What Are The Top 3 UGLIEST All-new Vehicles On The Market TODAY?
Hello there, my fellow Spies. As usual, we've been chewing the fat over here trying to ask the questions that some may not like the answer to. But, they should.

Agent 001 and I were recently chatting about some of the excellent, all-new designs in the automotive industry and the inevitable happened. We started talking about the worst.

Although I am sure some will disagree, for example, we happen to think that the Lexus LC is a sensational looking vehicle. At the $90,000-100,000 price range, we dare you to name a vehicle that commands a presence quite like the LC.

Previously threads on AutoSpies leads me to believe that plenty will attack the LC for its front grille and rear taillights but that's the nature of the beast.

Having said that, we were curious if YOU could name the Top 3 UGLIEST all-new vehicles on the market today. That's right. We want you to NAME and SHAME!

I am a bit too excited for this one, so, let me do the honors.

1. Toyota Prius — the last-gen Prius was such a good design.

2. Mercedes-Benz G550^2 — I can't stand this jacked up truck

3. Honda Clarity — Just look at this mish-mosh of lines.

I have a question - are you limiting this to the USA market?

While I would indeed put the Prius on the list around the world - there are some really really weird designs - especially in the Japanese KAI cars - that do not appear here.

Both the Lexus RX and NX SUVs are fairly horrid designs with a mishmash of lines and such going off in every direction. The LC is quite nice and would be excellent if they fixed the grill. The other really ugly beast is the Infinity QX80. Just a bloated drunk's dream....

Tesla Model X / It looks like an anal leakage suppository.

Honda Odyssey / It looks like it got hit from the front and back simultaneously and ACCORDioned in the middle.

Maybach convertile concept / It looks like a plastic vibrating dildo that some truck-driving bubba buys by the cash register at the truck stop on the Interstate for use on the smelly meth-addict broad he would bang if he weren't impotent.

Hey Matt - do you like any of the "floating roof" designs?
YOu already have one - the new Odyssey - on your list of worst - but I don't see any of the designs to be particularly good looking - From the upcoming GMC terrain - and the Bolt - to the new Maxima - the i3, i8, and several others. It just does not seem to work right.

The floating roof is good for a Mini and was done pretty well on the Flex, but aside from that it's a cliche like the silver tail lights.

The Prius (all versions) is the unquestioned Champion of Ugly. The Lexus RX is a distant 2nd as the lines inside and out seem randomized. Nothing is cohesive.
The Infiniti QX80 looks overinflated by about 50 psi. It is hard to look at.
I'll throw in one more for free. The BMW fastback SUVs. Take the utility out of a utility vehicle and you wind up with a 1,000 lbs overweight hatchback.

It's due for a name change to the Elephant Seal.

These threads are lots of fun until you realize they end up on PowerPoint decks as "design features to copy - 2020" for all the car designers. It's a post Bangle world. The uglier your design, the more money and kudos you get.
