RENDERED SPECULATION: IF The All-new Ford Bronco Looks Like THIS, Would You Be On Line To Buy One?

RENDERED SPECULATION: IF The All-new Ford Bronco Looks Like THIS, Would You Be On Line To Buy One?
One of the most anticipated returns of a vintage nameplate rests on the resurrection of the Ford Bronco. The last production Bronco lasted until the mid 1990s and a part of me wonders of Ford killed it off due to the association with the O.J. Simpson chase.

Perhaps it was considered a bad brand association?

Anyway, the vehicle is on its way back for 2020. As of now there has been zero indication of how the vehicle will look. There's been a render or two floating around but these are merely artist interpretations.

In other words: Based on pure speculation. Nothing more, nothing less.

So, why not add another one into the mix?

The latest comes from Kleber Silva who put together both two-door and four-door variants. Given the Explorer runs the four-door game at F, I'd hope they keep the Bronco a two-door vehicle.

What do you think, Spies?

2 door Explorer, been there, done that.

Looks like the rendering used the current Edge as the base for the Bronco design, added ride height for a rugged-like perspective as well. It could work for some, but disappoint the general enthusiasts.

The new Bronco could be a smaller-midsize SUV with all the necessary Bronco design "flare" & could be loaded up with extras & accessories.

First of all that is an incredibly pathetic photoshop. Two doors would not be a wise move.

Needs to be much more special. A lifestyle vehicle. Not a generic SUV.

This render is for the people who like the *idea* of an SUV, without liking the actual vehicle. It's similar to liking Kenny G: Like the *idea* of jazz, but not the actual art form.

So this should really appeal to the Kenny G SUV crowd. Jazz waifting from the windows as they scramble over the pebbles in the driveway.

Have you seen how GM is planning to rape the Blazer name by using it for the name of the Chevy "Edge"?

Its just another chick car. THAT IS what most of those small CUVs are.

2 Door Ford Edge from the looks of this rendering. Is the goal just another SUV or do they want something that can crawl off-road alongside a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon?

They could have a huge hit on their hands, not if it looks like this

Ford is actually hoping for a "2005 Mustang" kind of moment with the new Bronco. I was looking over someone's shoulder at that point, but there was a tremendous enthusiasm among buyers to own one so much so that Ford had to keep increasing the special-order allotment to dealers who had buyers who wanted to personalize their cars. Keeping them on the lot was a challenge.

Ford is planning to hype up the new Bronco. They are also planning it as a more humane version of the Wrangler. The first Explorer was placed as a more humane version of the Jeep Cherokee and Ford made a killing.

Unfotunately - the design above has "cute" written all over it - the opposite of what a Wrangler looks like - far more "rugged" - and "manly".

@TomM Why do you assume that a random, poorly done Photoshop is accurate? This is just one nimrod's lackluster creation.
