BMW M8 rendering looks ready for production
BMW enthusiasts are quite excited for the revival of the new 8 Series. In fact, we have already seen the concept of the upcoming coupe a few months back at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este. After seeing the concept, we have got artists rendering the proposed production version of it, based on what they've seen on the latest spy shots. As usual, BMW already previewed the M8 through a series of camouflaged photos, building hype for its release next year.

The rendering of the M8 production car was done by Cars.co.za. Overall, the virtual M8 looks both subtle and aggressive. To keep it close to its ancestors, the M8 has a pair of kidney grille up front, together with an aggressive diffuser and three vents to complete the front fascia. Unlike the concept where the M8 gets a set of sleek headlights, the rendered version instead gets fixtures that will remind you more of the production version.

Well, if the rendering is fairly representative of the actual, then this will be a disappointment. The S-Coupe will have nothing to worry about. The LC500 will laugh while racking up the sales and attention.

This isn't a great quality render imo but probably not that far off what the production car will look like. There will only be 3 cars in this category when the 8-series launches so it will be interesting to see how it fairs. Will be difficult to judge sales as MB doesn't provide separate sales figures for their coupes and sedans.

I really like the LC500, it is let down by it's infotainment system but it has a naturally aspirated V8 and that's very special, from reviews I've see then interior is also great and the styling is very attractive. S-class is really just a S-class coupe and everything that goes along with that but looks frumpy and I think attracts the retirement crowd, they are face-lifting it though which might help the way it looks at the rear.

Bloated non fluid design. I'd like to say BMW could do better but apparently they can't. Time for a whole new design team and theme.

If that's reality then BMW has been Michael Fuxed.

The chrome grill surround here on the new 5-Series is an odd shap and too thick and looks like crap.

They've gone the opposite direction of the 2014 sedan concept which was considerably better looking.

I believe this is a rendering of the upcoming 8-series... not familiar with the 2014 8-series sedan concept you mentioned, do you have any more info?

Doesn't BMW know that the sedan and coupe are functionally dead in todays auto marketplace? SUV's and crossover SUV's represent 85% of all sales.

Coupes aren't dead. You just have to position them right.

It was the Gran Lusso Coupe I was thinking of:

Ah ok, thanks. Not an 8-series concept but I also liked the way it looked, less traditional BMW and Pininfarina is a great design house.
