Audi TT-RS Vs Nissan GT-R - Which Would You Take To The Track?
It seems like everyone is trying to beat the Nissan GT-R on a straight line, with the latest challenger being the less powerful but cheeky nevertheless Audi TT RS.

Unlike previous drag races, where the latest version of the GT-R was put up against proper metal, including various Porsches, McLarens and the occasional Lambo, this time Top Gear magazine got a smaller and more affordable coupe that’s already making some noise with its straight-line abilities.

In my case, "to the track" means "driving to the track". I haven't driven *ON* a track in over 15 years. I just don't see myself as a racer, track or street. Based on that, I'd take the TT, not because I'm into it or believe it's "all that," but because I don't resonate with the Nissan at all.

For 45k less you can get the TTRS, take 15k and let MTM make your car way faster and smoke godzilla while saving 30k. All while having a way better looking car with a much better interior and comfort. I'll take the TT all day long.

Considering that the Porsche Cayman S has had consistently better track times than the TT-RS, I'd say the GTR will annihilate the TT-RS on most any tracks. So, if you want to win at the track, you should choose the GTR. But, for driving to and from the track - the TT-RS is the winner.

The GT-R is all about straight lines.... It wasn't that much faster than the TT in this video. Did you you watch it?

That's the slowest 0-60 time I've ever seen for a 2017 GT-R. Over 3 seconds, like really? I'm pretty those guys at Top Gear were sandbagging the GT-R just to prove their ad hoc point.

bw5011 - yes, I watched it and you are very uniformed if you think the GTR is just a straight line racer. When I say "track", I mean road course and the GTR is a monster on virtually all road courses.

Of those two, no question: GTR.

GT-R hands down. The TT-RS is still a chick car, always will be.
