U.S. House Vote For Self-Driving Cars PASSES Proposal — Are We LESS Safe On The Roads Now?
The U.S. House on Wednesday unanimously approved a sweeping proposal to speed the deployment of self-driving cars without human controls by putting federal regulators in the driver’s seat and barring states from blocking autonomous vehicles.

The House measure, the first significant federal legislation aimed at speeding self-driving cars to market, would allow automakers to obtain exemptions to deploy up to 25,000 vehicles without meeting existing auto safety standards in the first year. The cap would rise over three years to 100,000 vehicles annually...

...Automakers, business groups, and advocates for the blind praised the House measure. But one consumer group said the House bill did not do enough to ensure self-driving cars would be safe.

A previous news report revealed that various safety aspects will be waived for these limited autonomous cars. In *my* mind, automatic is only a good idea if it's not harmful. That seems like a no-brainer to me.

We need real world testing but it needs to be regulated. With that said I've seen to many videos of idiots not grabbing the wheel when they need to. This will catch on, you can't stop progress. We just need to be smart about it.

Congress cannot remove the massive train wreck obammacare as it financially and medically injures all participants but they find the time to vote to pass autonomous cars.
This is why America DESPISES and LOATHES Congrees and the Senate.

I predict that we will see some long-standing politicians who should have easy re-elections suddenly go down to stunning defeat. There are Republicans who do not get that they need to get with the program (Ryan, McConnell) and will see their careers end. Liberals think their anger and resistance tactic will win voters, but it will drive them away. Trump's DACA decision and the Left's hysterical defense of criminals who are here illegally as somehow being virtuous people radically increased Trump's grassroots support. People are sick of the loud, shrill, bigoted intolerance and racism of Liberals and a backlash is coming.
