#IAA: BMW's Mammoth X7 SUV Concept Leaks Ahead Of Frankfurt Debut
Reports have been swirling for months revolving around BMW’s decision to host the premiere of the X7 Concept at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show, and even the automaker added gas on the fire with a Twitter tease of a “big” surprise arriving soon.

And where there’s smoke, a fire will naturally burn, so what we have here are the alleged leaked official photos of the X7 Concept, which is set to preview the upcoming new flagship SUV for the Bavarian brand. These pictures might be the real deal – these leaks are usually correct – but remember to always take these news with a pinch of salt, just to be sure. We have a hunch these are real since BMW’s own Twitter teaser includes a picture of a top-down model featuring a glass roof with Y cross bars – and these features also appear in the leaked batch.

A Tiger tank from Fury was smaller than this...

Great. Every bad BMW styling element combined on one ponderous vehicle.

Not sure what my take is on the roof.
1) looks like a nicely sized glass roof, allowing a lot of sunlight in the cabin.
2) reminds me of the (U shape) hairline of a balding person (think Jason Alexander).

Making a large SUV look great is not easy to do for any carmaker. With that said, this is not bad overall. I don't care for the chrome strip on the side, especially when it goes vertical, but the rest looks nice.

My biggest problem with this concept is that the kidney grills are just too small

Maybe we here at AUTO SPIES ought to take up a collection for BMW - so that their stylists can do their magic without having to use Crayolas.

And yet - there will be people who buy this - for the exclusivity from a real premium car maker. I am sure its sales will rival the Bentayga !!!

So, when BMW dumbs it down for production, it will look, well, just like a bigger X5. Not really much to get excited about for a brand new model.

Imagine if it had to be big enough to carry luggage for everyone, instead of just the driver and passenger. Just a bit of space left when the 3rd row is occupied. Even a Thule box would not help accommodate hockey bags for a trip to the rink with kids + friends in tow. A Yukon XL is likely a better bet if space is really what you need.

I would wager this thing will weigh as much as a Ford Excursion. With no where near the capacity.

What a snoozefest. This will be nothing more than a larger X5 and buyers won't be able to distinguish between the X7 and X5 except for the fact that the X7 looks like someone bashed the door in.

at least the gastly Infiniti QX80 ( ugliest thing on the planet ) has some close company now. Whats with that stupid detail along the rocker panel on BMW's now. Hockey stick design is not appealing !

I think it would be very successful as is. It has some of the garishness of a Lexus that has worked well for Lexus.

The only things I like are the roof and the front air dam which is less complicated and more pleasing than the ones they have on every model.

Hate the grill, lights, uncomfortable junction from hood to A pillar, giant right angle chrome thing on the side and the weird incuse door panels.
