BMW Is Bringing CSL Back

BMW Is Bringing CSL Back
We all know of the standard M4 and the more powerful M4 GTS model, but in between those two models is the newest M4 CS. The CS trim comes with 460 horsepower (343 kilowatts), that lets it hit its top speed of 174 miles per hour (280 kilometers per hour). By far, it is the most fun Coupe Sport model in BMW’s lineup.

Frank Van Meel, boss of BMW M, said in his interview with Road & Track that they are planning to revive the CSL or the Coupe Sport Light, badge. Having said that, the CSL will replace the current GTS and will become the range topping model.

Who was the idiot who came up with the Alphabet soup names for models - they ought to get shot!!
When there were essentially three classes - you could figure out whose cars you had. At least Audi includes and A in their names. However - today - there are so many different Alphanumeric names that one cannot even determine where they come from - many times - and this is not helping. Eventually - the alphanumeric names are going to get SO LONG that you will need to separate the characters in order to remember them. CSL could be on of several manufacturers names.

Bring Back single names for cars - Nobody mixed up an "El Dorado" for a cheap sports sedan.

El Dorado would be a brilliant name for a Cadillac "Q7".

Just what BMW needs. A car that is something like this and something like that. It's excuses BMW from actually creating new ideas and fresh designs.
BMW is in a RUT.

Also, you really cannot tell the M3 from the M4 to the 3 series from the 3 4 series. They all look like twins which makes them all very common, plebeian and undistinguished.
