VIDEO: Updated Mercedes-Benz C Class Caught In The Nude
The updated Mercedes-Benz C Class, on its way towards the traditional midlife cycle update, has been recently spotted testing in both sedan and station wagon form with very little camouflage.

We’re expecting the German automaker to make the announcement about the upgraded C Class sooner rather than later, now that public test bots have started losing the layers of camouflage. According to previous spy shots, the interior is going through some slight changes as well, with the C Class ready to sport the new touched first seen on the refreshed S Class range. There’s also a new steering wheel, complete with refreshed instrument panel, while covers for the dashboard also hint at possible changes there as well.

Mercedes Benz did the smart thing
THEY polled their buyers - and found that the customers wanted more luxury - and they gave it to them in the regular models - leaving AMG to supply the sports models.
IT was a brilliant stroke of genius -- and while everyone else still tries to better the BMW 3 series - they ignore that part of the Market that Mercedes targets. SO they have that Luxury compact market all to themselves.

Agreed. Let's not forget that Mercedes knows who they are. This is where Lexus, Cadillac, and BMW have gotten it wrong. Each strayed from their core values and chased a customer different from their traditional buyers. Not that there's anything wrong with wanting conquest sales. But you cannot alienate your traditional buyers in your attempt to gain conquest sales. Mercedes is a luxury brand first and they have made very clear distinctions from their luxury cars vs. their sporty cars. This is also where Audi is still muddled in the middle without a true, solid identity.

Agreed @cidflekken

The Lincoln Continental I've had on loan for a couple of months is a STRONG indication the Lincoln knows the buyer they are after. Mine is a fully optioned rhapsody in blue. It's what a big American luxury vehicle should be. It's about to be collected back.

@MD- So what will your new daily ride be this time? What colour?

@canadiancomments, What would you suggest? Hemi Charger? F150? CTS? I can ask nicely from Ford, GM, and FCA.

I prefer sedans in dark colors, but it all depends on what is offered. I typically have a vehicle for 4-6 months and then it winds up as a CPO.

Prior to the Continental I had two Fusions (both blue) and a K900 (black), but I don't have my feet in a Hyundai-Kia store at the moment.

I was very happy with the Fusions because they are comfortable appliances and gave excellent mileage. There's really nothing at Ford/Lincoln at the moment that I'm itching to drive. I was itching for a Continental and I've enjoyed the experience. It's a solid car and for sheer luxury and comfort.

I could have a Giulia for the asking but free garbage is still garbage. People are still experiencing an Italian Christmas on their dashboards. Oddly the Ghibli has no such issues.

Concurrently, the lease on my wife's daily driver is up, so I have to help her get settled first.
