Any Bite To Go With That Bark? Nissan Releases Images Of The Nismo Leaf EV
A month ago we learned that Nissan was dead serious about launching a performance version of its second generation Leaf. This so-called Leaf Nismo is now officially happening, at least as a concept. Auto Express was at a Nissan presentation and managed to snap an image of what was on the big screen, which quickly found its way to Twitter. That image is the Nissan Leaf Nismo Concept, which will debut later this month at the Tokyo Motor Show. Only hours after that image went up, Nissan released official images of its own.

They are breaking new ground. The contrasting colors really bring out the design. Can't wait to see what Lexus could do with this. How can they respond? Perhaps a barbershop pole design jutting straight out of the grill?

A new paradigm in Auto power is breaking now. The era of the internal combustion engine is at hand. Electric power will be the standard for all vehicles.
How does each country expect present day electric power generation to meet the immense demand to charge the millions of new vehicles? What happens to the 170,000 gas stations in America? What happens to the people who are employed selling gas and delivering gas? What happens to the skilled mechanics who service and repair internal combustion powered cars and trucks?
Say goodbye to the wonderful sounds and feel of the I.C. engine!

"wonderful sounds and feel of the I.C. engine!" - my car did not sound that wonderful today - it was sputtering on the way to work. It has a failing gas pressure sensor that the dealer does not have stocked part (back order waiting indefinitely), and my mechanic said it was OK to drive with the engine light on - how trusting of me!.

Now I have to figure out if I want to leave the car at work for unknown period of time or limp home later today (crossing my fingers while doing it).

I want a reliable EV.

There very well could be some bark depending on how they tune the power and torque. A well-powered EV could eat a combustion engined car for lunch with its instant power delivery. If it has that and beefier handling it could be a fun ride.
