SPIED INSIDE and OUT! The Next-gen Porsche 911, The 992, Gets EXPOSED In These Pics!

Although I am sure we’ll get some jokers making snide remarks about this collection of spy shots, we’re still going to post them. That’s because we’re car geeks and we adore a lot about the Porsche 911.

It’s just a brilliant, brilliant automobile.

And while it just underwent a refresh, Porsche is predictably turning its focus to the next-gen 911. As the 911 has continued to become more and more refined, it’s been a staggering transformation. Especially when you consider how basic the 930 was and how much more luxurious the 991 became.

To be dubbed the 992, this will mark yet another major update to the storied Porsche. While its exterior looks largely the same from the 991.2, there are differences. Very minor, of course.

Note the updated front/rear valence, integrated quad tipped exhaust and sweeping rear end light bar that serves as a taillight.

The big news, however, comes with its interior. That's because it appears that Porsche is updating it in a big way. Following the likes of the all-new Panamera expect a massive infotainment screen. In addition, the latest spy shots show a new instrument panel that does away with the 911 clusters of yore, which are populated with many gauges. Now, expect TFT displays to flank an analogue tachometer a la what Ferrari is doing these days.

I still hope the Cylon body-width light bar is fake. I don't like it on the 4S models and it isn't needed here.

The translation feature is hilarious in places. Meet the new 911...looks like the old 911. So they will dump some batteries in the front trunk...predictable.

The full-width lights in back are lovely.

You mean it is not driven by a battery?
