Nissan Altima Coupe/New 350Z Spy Shots?
thecarlounge poster BRealistic took some spy shots of what appears to be a coupe version of the new Nissan Altima in Burbank, California. The front looks like it is lifted from the new Nissan Altima, the rest of the car looks much like the currnet Nissan 350Z. What do you think this is?

I guess I will have to sell more Inland Empire trailer homes in order to have enough commission to finance a potential purchase.

Nissans all look the same these days, I agree with Autoegr525. I like Nissan, but they need to switch it up a little. This car looks bland though. I'm a big fan of the Z and even the sedan version of the altima, not sure about this car though, just looks bland.

The altima in a coupe format is the best thing that nissan could come up with since the 240sx and judging from past experience this will be a beast to be reckoned with. Now if only we could confirm,if it is RWD with a 2.5 turbo.By the looks of the tire pkge.and the more aggressive stance.Hopefully that dream will come true.

Pipe dream or not which one would you drive. Not far fetch since the g35 is rwd.

Honestly, this is a great Idea by Nissan. It looks like they took the G35 and made it into an Altima Coupe, this way the G35 chassis isn't expired and they can squeeze as much out of it as possible. You have to remember there is a new G35 coupe coming.

I don't think it's the same chassis, because the Altima is FWD and G35 is RWD.but the body is almost exactly the same!

But this just doesn't make sense.

Why would they need a 350Z and an Altima coupe, on the same platform, in the same lineup?

i think its a photo shop of the new 2007 altima.....look how long the front doors look. It looks lik they got rid of the back door line n pushed the handle back in the body...creating a sedan

But the picture looks too real to be a photoshop. It's even blurry.

If nissan was to revive the 240sx,why not consider putting that chassis under FM platform and call it a altima coupe and kill two birds with one stone.Just an idea.

True the altima is front wheel drive. But what basis is the altima two door derived from.Seems to me it would be cheaper to put a longer, wider g35 and reskinned it with the new altima body.
