RENDERED SPECULATION: Jaguar's Preparing An SVR F-Pace — If It Looks Like THIS, Thumbs UP or DOWN?
Since its launch, the Jaguar F-Pace has been on fire from a sales perspective. It seems as the company's first sport-utility vehicle is helping resurrect the brand.

Considering we were thinking this may be the company's last shot, this is a great thing to watch unfold. Hopefully the follow up effort — the E-Pace — has the same success. I think it will have a tough existence.

That said, Jaguar isn't completely done with the F-Pace just yet. That's because the legendary automaker is going to put its famed 5.0-liter, supercharged V8 from other Jaguar Land Rover vehicles to use.

This means an SVR F-Pace is on the way.

We've seen some spy shots but we're a bit eager. When I saw that Auto Express put together some artist renderings, I knew I had to share them with you. Check out the full collection by clicking "Read Article," below.

...The design of the F-Pace SVR has been signed off, and our images show what is likely to be hiding beneath the camouflage of the prototype spotted testing. Deep front bumpers featuring gaping air intakes, a front splitter to improve downforce and bonnet vents to aid engine cooling will be the standout features on the front end. As with every SVR-badged model, there will be a quad exhaust set-up at the back, along with a new rear bumper housing an integrated diffuser to improve downforce.

Jaguar will stick with the tried-and-tested powertrain that has appeared across a range of SVR models, including the Range Rover Sport and F-Type SVR. A 5.0-litre supercharged V8 and eight-speed automatic gearbox will distribute power to a permanent four-wheel-drive system...

The one with the camo on it looks better. Better wheels for sure on that one. The one in the article looks like it is trying too hard. Thumbs down.

The one in the article looks like it was designed for the ghetto where drug dealers have money but no taste.

It will be interesting to see what happens to Jaguar F-Pace sales now that the Range Rover Velar has been launched - especially since the Velar will be basically sold alongside the F-Pace as the vast majority of LR/RR dealers are co-branded with Jaguars in the same showroom, a few feet away.

The two vehicles share the same platform and have exactly the same wheelbase, however the Velar is slightly wider and longer, due to its different body and the Velar interior is a little fancier.

I like the looks of the F-Pace better - its just a cleaner design. Thoughts?

The crossovers at JLR are very incestuous and are largely variations of each other. Want to send a JLR fanboy into a raging snit? Remind them that the Evoque, Kuga, and Escape were co-designed and have a LOT in common. JLR continued to use Ford engines and technology because that was part of the agreement for the sale.
