The folks at Consumer Reports named their least reliable and most reliable cars in the past week, but due to some ruffled feathers at Tesla, all you heard about was the predicted reliability of the Model 3. Well, we're here to bring it around, again.

Considering Consumer Reports directly asks its subscribers on their experience with the autos in their driveway, we consider this to be a pretty good data source. So, here's the Top 10:

Consumer Reports each year asks its subscribers whether they've had problems with their cars. We use that information to produce our annual reliability survey, which this year includes data from 640,000 vehicles.

I'm sure that Elon Musk is ticked off that the Model S's numbers are just below the Jeep Cherokee in the "below average" region.

I can believe Toyota, being original owner of a 98 with never a breakdown or major repair, though mine is outside of the CR ratings by age. Surprise big improvement in the 86 and BRZ. Acura position is unexpected by continued drop.
