Audi Q5 to Start Production in 2008

Audi announced today that the Audi Q5 will start production in 2008 in Ingolstadt, Germany in 2008. Audi will invest about 300 million EUR to build the Q5 there. Also, some more spy shots of the Q5 mules were caught as well. The spy shots show the current A4 Avant that has been jacked up and has some giant plastic fender flares, and is most likely runs on the new Q5 platform.

This will probably be built on the new modular platform to be shared with the Audi A4/A5/A6/A7?/A8. Should be some good stuff. BTW, the Q7 just about has a 50/50 weight distribution, look for similar effects with the new platform.

Will, you are horrible sometimes. You obviously didn't even read it.

This is NOT THE BODY OF THE CAR. They plainly stated in the article that it was a jacked-up A4 Avant with huge fender flares.

And since when is the A6 Avant a bad car to be modeled after? It's perhaps the sleekest wagon in the world.
