Should THESE Instructions Be On EVERY Rear Window For Today's Drivers?
Now, I am not sure about everyone else and their experiences on the road, but I have to say that in the past 12 or so months it seems like drivers in my neck of the woods are getting worse. I can understand why too.

Between mobile phones becoming a bigger part of everyone's daily existence and vehicles becoming more tech-enabled, distractions are abound. What's bothered me though is the surge in completely assinine actions behind the wheel.

From drivers in the fast lane traveling well below the speed limit to drivers stopping dead in their tracks for a blinking light to people making right-hand turns from the left lane, people are all over the place.

Considering I am usually wheeling and dealing, I get quite a bit of seat time. Is it just me or have you noticed an influx in driver's being more careless and reckless as of late?

What say you, Spies?

Brilliant! People using the left hand lane and NOT passing should loose 3 points for sheer stupidity.

BobM: It's so weird to see you, a confirmed and open racist, crying "racism". I suppose it's no weirder than having an American Nazi (one of the Tiki-Torch crowd) cry that people hate him after his identity became known and splashed all over social media.

On the topic of racism, as Shakespeare wrote (paraphrased): Methinks thou doth protest too much.

@TheSteve You are bullying @BobM

MDarringer: Calling a racist (BobM) a racist is simply statement of fact. See http://www.autospies.com/news/Americans-Owe-More-Than-A-Staggering-1-Trillion-In-Auto-Loans-Average-Length-Is-68-Months-94184/ for an example of Bob’s racist statements, and his attempt to claim “plausible deniability.”

Matt, your nose is out of joint with me personally because I have accurately called you out for being an angry, hateful Alt-Righer-er. Again, this is not bullying. It’s just a statement of fact. You have a well-established and well-documented track-record here on AutoSpies of hatefully attacking and demeaning persons who don’t agree with you and your views. That’s what MDarringer is about! In typical Kellyanne Conway style, you wish to brand anyone who stands up to you as a “the bully,” and you attempt to make yourself out as “the victim.”

My advice to racists, like BobM: If you don’t like being called a racist, then stop being one!

My advice to angry, hateful Alt-Right-ers, like MDarringer: If you don’t like being called an angry, hateful Alt-Right-er, then stop being one!

BobM: Thank you for continuing to shine so brightly in your Alt-Right style, by continuing to insult and deriding people who don’t think like you do, who bring attention to your behavior, and who call you out for it. Your actions make a clear and unambiguous statement about what you are. It’s no coincidence that one of our other resident Alt-Right-ers here at AutoSpies -- the continuously angry and hateful MDarringer -- came to your defense. Hate sticking up for hate! Two Tiki-Torch Marchers, in lock step (Goose Step?), in solidarity with each other.

I suppose it’s redundant for me to spell this out, especially when considering the audit trail you so generously provide with your “writing style”, but here it is anyway:

- It’s plainly and abundantly clear that you are an angry and hateful Alt-Right-er

- Alt-Right and racism (AKA White Nationalism, AKA White Supremacy) run hand-in hand, so it’s not surprising to see both of these in you, expressed so very clearly.

- A Nazi denying he’s a Nazi, or justifying his action, or blaming others, does not make him less of a Nazi. The same applies to Alt-Right-ers/Racists, such as you. As the saying goes: If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck…

For the record, I don’t believe Alt-Right-ers, such as yourself, are too stupid to know that they’re hateful, angry, raging extremists (and often racists). They just can’t help themselves. That's what they are, and so they spill a trail of that, wherever they go.

Hate, and the specific flavor of hate known as racism, is ugly, no matter how you might try to dress it up or justify it away. It’s brutally ugly :-(

I choose to shine a light on your racism and hate. I choose to call it out, and name it, rather than doing nothing.

@TheSteve Actually, you fell for the bait. You weren't bright enough to see that I was being absurd--and I suspected you wouldn't be, Mr. Literal--and I knew you would spew more of your hate speech. And make no mistake, you demonstrate an abundant amount of hate speech. @BobM rattles your cage and off you go into your wrist-flapping. Ima-need-a-safe-space-after-I-throw-drama routine. At least you're predictable.

Matt, you continue to be absurd only in your claims of innocence, while leaving an unambiguous and ample audit trail of your hate, contempt, anger, and personal attacks wherever you go, Alt-Right style.

Readers just need to search AutoSpies pages for “MDarringer” in conjunction with any of your frequently used keywords, such as: Moonbat, libtard, snowflake, moron, idiot, etc., and they can’t fail to see you for who you truly are. (Mind you, I acknowledge that your fellow Alt-Right-ers won’t see your characteristics as a problem, so it’s not like you’re alone.)

A Nazi claiming his innocence, is still a Nazi. The same applies to hateful, angry, sadistic Alt-righters, such as you, claiming to be a “normal” person, just having some fun.

MDarringer write “…you demonstrate an abundant amount of hate speech…”

Truly? You paint a scene that looks eerily similar to a Nazi pointing his finger at the “hateful Jews” who fought back in the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising. Yup, “violence on sides; on ALL sides” and “fine people” amongst the innocent Nazis, the “real victims” in the story. Uh-huh :-/ Kellyanne Conway would be proud of you.

If you don’t like people shining a spotlight on you, and calling you out for being an angry, hateful, toxic, and sadistic Alt-Right-er, then don’t be one. It’s pretty simple. I realize this is an overly simplified statement, because you can’t help being who you are: Angry, Hateful, Alt-right.

(Sigh) Okay, I’m done with this thread.

@TheSteve Wanna bet?

And once again you get easily triggered and spew more hate speech.

Alcohol induced? You really ought to get into a 13-step program because I don't think 12 will do it.

A picture of a stop sign would be nice. I work from home and when I walk my dog I see the worst tap and go, drive through slow and completely ignore stop sign behaviour. As crime is very, very low in my area the police are out most days doing traffic checks. Good for them. If everyone did the basics well, driving would be a much safer for all of us.

No - People who do not care would not even read that stuff.
And no - I do not see a major change in Driving Habits as well. THere have always been slow drivers hogging the Left lanes - and People who are not sure of how to get somewhere often attempt to make that turn - when it is likely already too late as well. People in cities rarely came to a full stop at a stop sign - they sort of ROLL right through them.

And everybody knows that the first thing that never works on expensive cars are the turn signals as well

CC - you are correct that if everybody did the basics well - driving would be much safer - but then = the purpose of this site is to essentially support "performance" driving - which does not do that either.

Speaking strictly for the NE, or perhaps more specifically for the corridor traced from CT to Montreal, I'd have to say driving is getting better with people moving over more frequently. That, despite a significant increase in commuters.

It's not perfect but improving IMO.

BTW, to TomM's comment, I just signed-up Driving Dynamics to train our worst performing reps. (2300 reps, of which 5% account for 45% of all 'at fault' incidents) It's not perfect but I believe that track-style driving classes will help people display safer driving habits. We'll see.

Anecdote: took their class as a precursor to evaluate it. To my surprise, one of the instructors was Brock Yates Jr. Pretty cool. All instructors were track-trained and some continue to race to this day. If you're so inclined, I recommend it, even if you've taken a lot of track instruction. More practice is better...

Have to agree that it's becoming more of a problem, but unfortunately the worst offenders wouldn't see these instructions because they are looking down at their phones or going so slowly holding up everyone behind them that there is no one in front of them...

I can confirm that this is definitely needed in OH, PA, IN, MI, and KY....

Just increased levels of highway silliness:
- driving slow in the "passing lane"
- driving slow but then speeding-up to prevent other traffic from passing
- flat-out refusing to move right - to slower lanes - during rush hour
- purposely driving slow in left lane to "control faster traffic"

I've been hoping that the transportation depts in all those states put up signage saying the same exact thing.
