Becoming More German Than The Germans? Genesis Steals ANOTHER BMW Engineer

Hyundai Motor Co. has recruited another BMW engineer, this time to lead vehicle architecture development at the Genesis luxury brand as the upstart marque begins to expand its lineup and target international rivals from Germany.

Fayez Abdul Rahman was appointed vice president of Genesis architecture development to set vehicle specifications on everything from electronic systems to user experience from the early stages of product planning, the company said in a news release Tuesday.

A key focus will be improving the performance and quality of Genesis vehicles, Hyundai said.

Kia hired Audi's designer, now Hyundai hires BMW's lead vehicle architecture.
And so many people are saying that it's the Germans (namely Audi) who can't design for themselves.

Both Hyundai/KIA/ Genesis have gotten talent from all over the German companies, it helps that Peter was the 1st to go from Audi, then they just went from there. Luc from Bentley, the guy that designed the Chiron at Bugatti etc.. they have the money to get the talent

DeNysschen was constrained by the upper management he was stuck with what they had and attempted to change ..he did was he could then (I think) when the Eau Rogue was shelved he knew that Infiniti wasn't wanting to be serious.

Well, how many years has it been and they can't design/style a car better than the Germans or Japanese or Americans and they still have yet to truly engineer a car better than the Germans or Japanese or Americans. Who else is there left for them to steal to get the job done?

Americans can't even compete with the Germans .. they don't have a competitor for anything that Genesis is producing.. Cadillac "tried" ..then just cancelled not 1 but 2 cars
