Toyota Considers Building A Savage Raptor Challenger
The Toyota Hilux may have a reputation as one of the toughest off-road trucks on the planet, but the Japanese pickup truck has faced increasingly stiff competition from Ford in recent years. Ford recently revealed the savage Ranger Raptor which will debut in Australia in 2018 followed by the US-spec model in 2019. Building on the success of the F-150 Raptor, sources have suggested that the Range Raptor will be powered by a 2.0-liter twin-turbo diesel engine delivering 200 hp and 350 lb-ft of torque.
