Tesla Introduces "Chill Mode" To Tame Acceleration For Intimidated Drivers

Tesla Introduces

More importantly than zero emissions and saving the planet and all of that stuff, electric cars have a lot of torque. That means they can accelerate like small land rockets that’ll make you lose whatever you ate last, but apparently not everyone wants that in a car. Weird.

Isn't that what judicious use of an accelerator does? You can drive a Porsche 911 Turbo S gently through the 'burbs, just by applying the accelerator pedal gently, and not applying it more when you're going fast enough. I believe Tesla's accelerator pedals already work the same way, without the need for special software.

I predict a ridiculous result. he will spew in the form of an essay. His response will have "me" in quotes because narcissists need you to know that. It will have a series of dashes to create a footnote space followed by more drivel and a snappy-fingered statement that he is leaving the conversation.

What's the BS? They added a new mode using OTE updates, it impacts no one that does not want to use it and is not the default mode.

It's BS because a driver can use the accelerator pedal and achieve "chill".
