Las Vegas Self Driving Bus Didn't Know How To Avoid Accident
This was going to be a pretty ordinary story about the technology that allows the Las Vegas self-driving shuttle bus to cruise around the old Fremont street district of the city. But then we had a fender-bender just an hour into our ride in the shuttle and things changed. The Internet was blowing up with third-hand accounts of the traffic accident involving the new autonomous bus by the time I got back to the airport, and the more the story has gone viral, the less it resembles what actually happened.

I wish I could have been on it so I could pretend to have injuries and sue like a mofo.

Nice headline.
It's also obvious that the driver of the semi didn't know how to make sure that the way was clear.
But the headline could've also been "Human error causes another accident as driver didn't use his mirrors when parking".
I agree with the writer of the article. Autonomous vehicles should have warning devices (horn) which should be used if another vehicle gets too close. Similar to the "beeping" we get when parking. Or something similar.

Sounds like if the truck had been self-driving this accident would not happened.
