#LAAUTOSHOW: Lexus To Raise The Bar And Pound The Competition Even HARDER On Nov 29th?
How can the top-selling Lexus RX get even better? Make more of it. The all-new 2018 RX 350L, now featuring three rows, will make its World Premiere at the 2017 Los Angeles Auto Show. The hybrid model, the RX 450hL, will also be announced. The RX that paved the way for the luxury crossover segment 20 years ago will retain its stylish figure while also providing more flexibility for passengers.

The RX 350L will be revealed at the Lexus Press Conference taking place on November 29, 2017 at 10:00 am PST in the South Hall at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

Is this going to be a CRUSHING blow to the Acura MDX?

This should help Lexus competing for the #1 spot in US Luxury Sales. They had been #2 for the last 3 years to either BMW or MB. They should be #2 again this year.

I am not convinced that folks buy the MDX, QX60, Q7 or XC90 for the 3rd row. Personally, I'm not sure I've ever seen them used. Anyone I know who has legit looked for a 3-row SUV wants space and went with a larger SUV. Sure, it's a "nice to have" in a mid-size crossover, but not a necessity or a deal breaker. Just look at the pics posted by C&D in August, and those seat in the rear of the RX-L are almost non-existent.

My gut says that those typical RX buyers will go for the 3-row instead of the 2-row, just to have it. But I doubt many will migrate over from other brands.

I do not consider Lexus- Infiniti - Audi or Volvo to actually be in the Luxury sales category. Lexus primary sales are in the Near Luxury -entry level and compete with Buick (ANd once Mercury and Chrysler) - THe RX and the ES - are not really high end. Audi and Volvo for years competed with each other and SAAB in the near Luxury category as well.

When you see how the RX350L incorporates the 3rd seat, you'll not be impressed.
