You Digging It? Aston Martin's Vantage Gets A Makeover To Attract Younger Buyers
Aston Martin is pitching its new-generation Vantage to a younger customer group, helped by a radical redesign that gives the coupe greater differentiation compared with current models.

Aston Martin CEO Andy Palmer called the latest Vantage "the greatest car I've been involved with in my 38 years in the automotive industry."

The restyling will help the Vantage become the automaker's best-seller with annual sales approaching 3,500 despite a hefty price increase over the old model, Palmer predicted at a pre-launch event held at the automaker's headquarters here on Monday.

Looks a lot like that Tesla that debuted the other day.

The exterior looks very refined, yet aggressive. Though the front-end is reminiscent of an EV sports car and looks a bit too non-descript, especially the headlights.

The interior, to me, has taken a step backwards. Where it once was a Ralph Lauren type of classy, it's now a Zara kind of trendy. The center stack is busier than Donald Trump tweeting on a Sunday night.

Seems to be missing the classic Aston Martin side strake. But you now have the option of a triangular piece of the body work painted black. Odd touch. Grill area seems to have outgrown the car but there are no ventilation openings on the hood either. I am sure it will sell. Perhaps not in large numbers with the day-glow paint work.

Over Priced, Way Over Priced, will be Over Produced, No resale value, unreliable and why would any thinking person want to lose 50% of the cost of their new car on the first day of ownership? Do I see lotus design in this new Aston... Looks allot like the Evora to me.

What does this car have to do with "young buyers"? This front end is hideous...young buyers who have this kind of money will head straight to the Porsche dealership.

Why does Palmer think the Vantage and not the DB11 is the greatest car he has ever been involved with in his 38 years in the auto business?
