Based On LOOKS Alone, Who Wins The Beauty Contest? Aston or Tesla?
The past week has been a rather exciting one when it comes to automobile debuts. That's because we're seeing major reveals from just about everyone.

Hell, even a semi got plenty of buzz.

That said, let's get down to brass tacks. Easily one of the most talked about product debuts was the all-new Tesla Roadster. And it's arguably one of the most polarizing happenings in the automotive industry as of late. But one takeaway that I think about 90 percent of folks who are dialed in walked away with was this: The all-new Roadster at least looked very good even if it is a bit suspect.

Fast forward to today. Aston Martin has dropped the covers on an all-new vehicle. Following what I'd consider one of the best automotive designs to ever grace our presence, the new Vantage has a helluva set of shoes to fill. So, did it?

Well, I'll let you be the judge.

The Aston is an evolution of what we already know in the automotive world whereas the Roadster is an all-new, innovative take. Having said that, we just want to cut to the chase here and keep this simple: Based on LOOKS alone, WHICH vehicle do YOU think looks best? The Aston or the Tesla?

Based on these two photos alone, I prefer the Tesla (top). The greenhouse seems a little "off" though, in not keeping with the rest of the car's styling. Still, I like the look.

Aston Martin. Once Chump Trump gets rid of green tax credit, Madoff Tesla will disappear like the Tucker!

Tesla...what was AM thinking with that front grill? #dobetter

They both look hot--think the Tesla looks more futuristic. Not a fan of the grill on the AM either.

A tougher call would the be the Roadster vs. the Bugatti Chiron.

Both are nice. Slight nod to the Tesla.

I have found that often pics of cars are taken from the best angles - and leave out things that would create an opinion - so I would want to actually see these cars in real life before I decided which one. ALso do not forget that Beauty is also in the interior - which is not depicted

I will expect the Aston to be most like the prototype - at this time. I note the Tesla does not have rear view mirrors - still required in many states even with the option of VIDEO all around view. Unfortunately - that grill on the ASTON - is it styled after a Lexus grill? THe question is how visible it is - again requiring an in person viewing.

Oh - by the way - I would bet the Aston SOUNDS better than the Tesla. IT is also more likely to actually become available too.

Aston by far. While the Tesla vapormobile isn't ugly, it is extremely generic.

The Aston Vantage as about a 1ft too short. It ends just after the rear wheel. Too truncated in its design. I find the Tesla too thick around the middle. The design is ok for a 300hp car, but not for something that can supposedly blow by an Aventador. A 200kw car should look the part.

I love Aston Martin cars but the front end of this reminds me of a Miata and that Tesla will probably never hit the production line since they can't even build the 3 with the demand being super high. The Tesla car looks like what the baby NSX should look like so I will go with Tesla.

Tesla is BLAND. The front end lacks a grille and appears as a unfinished bare design.

Aston is contrived, how many design elements do they need on one car. Jack racer taillights, shark nose (clipped form BMW of lore), Ferrari rocker panels, a little Lotus Evora roof line, Buick side vent (why) and what is with the insert on the front? is that to sweep up garbage from the street, is the front a giant Vacuum about to suck pavement. along with the 50% depreciation you can expect from the overproduced Aston and well Tesla is looking good... at least Tesla will be rare, Aston will be in bulk at every dealer that will beg people to buy one like the DB11 is now.

Tesla hands down. Low hood and flowing windshield into roof.
AM grill looks bucktoothed.
