VIDEO: Tesla's All-new SEMI Caught In ACTION Doing Off-the-line Pulls — Look Fast Enough For YOU?
Yesterday didn't just bring us the announcement of Tesla's all-new SEMIs price. Finally, someone who attended the launch event posted video of the all-new SEMI test drives.

While we haven't come across a video of the vehicle's interior and that experience, you can see just how quick the all-new truck gets off the line here. As expected, it is quite silent as any electric vehicle would be; however, you do hear the tires make some noise.

That said, I'll let the video speak for itself, Spies.

What do YOU think? Does it look FAST enough for you?

I am curious to see just how reliable its mileage estimates are and how all of this power will impact the battery life — both on a charge and over the life of a Tesla SEMI.

Fast isn't a semi's parameter.

When hauling a big load and trying to get to highway speeds it is more important to have that power. Or hauling uphill. There is a freeway I have to go through everyday that has a huge incline and trucks go up at 30-45 mph when the speed limit is 65. It creates massive traffic. If trucks could hit 65 going uphill it would probably shave 2min off my commute every day.

Everyone knows electric motors deliver excellent torque, so what's your point? It's torque NOT speed that is the parameter.

Are you so narcissistic that you are wishing for trucks to go faster so you have have two more minutes of whatever?

Ok, so said truck is able to go 65mph uphill, what happens when that 80,000 lbs missle goes over that crest - just hope you aint in front of it.

Regen brakes I would guess.

Will someone tell Elon Musk that semi truck are not the slightest need for drag race performance. This is just more Musk smoke and mirrors B.S.

Semi tractors are all about efficiency, long term reliability and load pulling ability in city and highway and upgrade conditions.

Yes, torque is the key to moving a big rig with tonnes being hauled. So why wouldn't an EV semi pull better than a diesel ICE?
The get-up-and-go factor will show itself when you're behind one of these in traffic.
Definitely won't be as quick when hauling, but should be better than what we see/are used to on the roads.
I believe there's a big-chain store already in line to buy these. So we'll be seeing these on our daily drive in the near future (whether we like it or not).
