#LAAUTOSHOW: First Official Photos And A First Auto Show Appearance EVER For The Tesla Model 3!
The 2017 LA Auto Show is well underway and you have already seen the new three row Lexus RX L and a brand new LX 570. The Jeep Wrangler specs finally became a reality, and even VW had a surprise for us. But the show is just now kicking into gear and one of the first things we had to see was the Tesla Model 3 up close and personal.
2017 Los Angeles Auto Show
Tesla normally doesn’t do the auto show circuit, but Los Angeles is an exception as they try keep the momentum up for their first mainstream model. So this gave our Agent001 the opportunity to bring you the BEST shots of this ground breaking model.
I won’t waste your time any further, so I will let you be the judge of the Model 3.
The Los Angeles Auto Show (LAAS) photo galleries are sponsored by Lexus.

I guess with the Model 3's austere interior, it will be immune from that common pitfall that befalls all vehicles that are on display at any auto show....
None of the auto show attendees will have an opportunity to steal the Model 3's interior buttons and fitments because it doesn't have any buttons or fitments!
I'd still wager that a motivated attendee might try to rip the iPad screen right off the Model 3 dashboard and take it home with him.

It is bolted on there pretty well, has no give. It would take some serious effort =)

That really is terrible paint work. Surprising as well on a show car. Cost cutting?

I've seen one in the metal. The paint's not great but not awful either. I'm sure most buyers will be fine with it.

Since the Model 3 is being built largely by hand, is the poor paint quality a result of the paint being applied by a paint brush and not in a proper paint booth?
Did Tesla eliminate the paint booth in a cost containment measure?

Not sure what orange peal appearance means. Color wise?
The painting is fully automated for S, X, and 3. It uses a pretty advanced electrostatic process and already has capacity for 500k cars a year.
Also, Model 3s themselves are not mostly being built by hand... but the batteries modules are.
