#LAAUTOSHOW: Back To Basics! Porsche's Resurrects The "T" To Keep Purists Happy
Over the past five or so years, things have changed at Porsche in a big way. It's not the same Porsche everyone once knew.
Volkswagen calls the shots now. The Metzger engine is no more. Sport-utility vehicles are what keeps buyer's coming into the showroom.

But with the highly anticipated launch of cars like the GT3, 911 R and Cayman GT4/Boxster Spyder, Porsche knew one thing was certain. Purists still lusted for the marque and they awaited these simple cars' releases religiously.
Clearly, there's money to be made and customers willing to pony up the bucks. So, what to do?
That's where the all-new Carrera T comes into the picture. That's because this 911 is going to benefit from much of the tricks used in those limited editions; however, it should be more readily available and not susceptible to people flipping them in a hot market — we'll see.
Scope out our first real-life pictures of this all-new 911 and let us know what you think, below!

Indeed @MD. Next week there could be a Club Sport version of this model with plastic side and rear windows, no rear seat, no radio or AC or heater. Light Light Light.

And don't forget to add an additional $30,000 to the sticker price.

The iconic image is yellow. You clearly know VERY LITTLE about 60s muscle cars.

Porsche has shown that you can charge more and deliver less, if you market it right. A base 911 Carrera, stripped down for the "purist". It's not my cup of tea... and I like 911s.

@MD- Yellow, Blue, White, Red. There seem to be lots of colours on original cars from the period. Only 104 or so were made. See below.
-Fathom green ( code 57 )
-Hugger orange ( code 72 )
-Olympic gold ( code 65 )
-Daytona yellow ( code 76 )
-Le mans blue ( code 71 )
-Rally green ( code 79 )

PS Get back to me when you know the history of Yenko. Before Yenko had GM's participation, he did his cars in yellow. Shelby Mustangs came in a variety of colors, but that's beside the point. The icon is white with blue stripes. A legitimate yellow Yenko will easily sell for more than one in any other color. All of the Yenko replicas we've done have been yellow SOLELY because to real enthusiasts Yenko = yellow.
