Audi Remains The Monthly Benchmark As Sales Leap 12% In November
Audi of America reported a November sales increase of 12 percent to 19,195 deliveries, as the Q7, new Q5 and the new-to-the U.S. A5 Sportback, lead consumer demand.

November was the 83rd straight record sales month for Audi of America. The previous November record was set last year with 17,118 deliveries. Audi has now sold 199,534 vehicles in the U.S. this year. Year-to-date, Audi sales have increased 6.7 percent.

"Positive consumer response to the Q7, new Q5 and new-to-the U.S. A5 Sportback shows that Audi's award-winning engineering and technology can succeed in a highly competitive market," said Cian O'Brien, chief operating officer, Audi of America. "Encouraged by robust consumer demand and our annual Season of Audi Sales event, we're positioned for a strong finish to 2017."

Consumer demand for the new Q5 and Q7 helped drive November's sales increase.  Deliveries of the Q5 were up 31 percent to 5,467. The Q7 deliveries increased to 3,292, and have now increased 23 percent year-to-date. SUV sales for Audi increased 23 percent to 10,351.

The addition of the A5 Sportback to the A5 Cabriolet and Coupe lineup has brought total sales to 2,243 over last November. Sales of the A5 Cabriolet and Coupe more than doubled to 1,113.

The 2018 Q5 was recently named winner of the 2018 Kelley Blue Book Best Buy among luxury SUVs and crossovers and the 2018 Kelley Blue Book Best Auto Tech Award in the luxury category. The 2017/18 Q5 just earned a 2017 IIHS Top Safety Pick award.

The 2018 A5 Sportback was recently named winner of the 2018 Kelley Blue Book Best Buy in the luxury category and, joined by the 2017/18 Q7, earned a 2017 IIHS Top Safety Pick award.

The Audi A8 is hanging on for dear life...217 units sold yikes, the replacement has to hit the ground running which is highly unlikely in an S Class world

Audi is approaching 84 consecutive months of year-over-year sales growth. Most importantly, Audi's newest products including the Q5, A5 Sportback and Q7 remain very popular with YTD sales up double-digits for each.

Depends on if the residuals hold up...which they are doing.

Well, just like the 4Series GC did to the 3Series sedan, the A5 Sportback is eating into A4 sales. And the A5 coupe/sportback sales are going toe-to-toe with the 4Series sales numbers.

If this is the case, which I believe it is. Good for Audi. I was just at an Audi dealership yesterday and there are no A5 Sportback programs running. They are in hot demand and commanding high prices. If the shift from A4 to A5 is happening, Audi is getting the benefits from higher sale prices.

An offer doesn't have to be advertised in order to be provided. Two years ago I walked into the Audi dealership and told them the payment, deposit, etc I wanted to achieve and the offer they came back with was way off, with no budging (no offer was advertised and was told "we can't go that low"). I walked and told them to get back to me when they can give me a better offer.
They happened to call me back while I was on my way to sign papers on another car with another brand, literally driving to the dealership. The Audi sales manager called me back no less than 5 times, even as I was getting out of my car to go in and sign and was begging me not to sign yet. In these 5 calls, he had already come down $200/month on the initial payment quote from my first visit, with no change in down payment, but was still slightly higher than where I wanted to be (not much, but now it was ago ego..haha). I told him it wasn't good enough and he was scrambling and said if I gave him a bit more time he was sure he could make out the numbers to get me where I wanted to be. I finally just told him that this is the effort that should have been put forth on my first visit (and as an existing Audi driver) and we wouldn't be in this situation.

Amazing that the new A4 is in negative numbers in its debut year. Maybe this is Audi lackadaisical design catching up with them.

This is not the A4s first year, it’s been on sale for a while. The A5 Sportback is taking sales from the A4. Overall, Audi has done tremendously well in terms of achieving sales growth on a percentage basis versus BMW and Mercedes-Benz for the second straight year.

The A4 debuted in March of 2016 in the US. Maybe you meant "first full year"?

One of several tactics manufacturers use to create "on paper" sales by counting product in transit to dealers as "sales" even if the dealer has not accepted them. Then once the tally is done, those cars vaporize. Because there was no transaction, they weren't sold. Toyota could have a 100% sales increase on paper.

Audi is killing it. It's a cash cow for VW. Deal with it. Stop embarrassing yourself with your idiotic conspiracy theories.

Yes, selling with massive amounts of money on the hood is (1) sustainable and (2) evidence of a cash cow. I find it curious that we are supposed to believe that we are supposed to believe the company that created the TDI cheat device and then conspired to cover it up. Audi has demonstrated dishonesty right and left, but they are 100% honest about having a 100% sales increase every other day.

Put up or shut up @MDarringer.. I am looking at a 18 SQ5 prestige, Mythos Black, Red Interior with diamond stitching, carbon fiber inlays, cold weather, driver assistance, S Sport, Dynamic steering, Rear side airbags and 21" wheel packages .. Please tell me any dealership that is putting tons of cash on the hood and I can get this at $60K. When I purchase it, I will let the rest of the spies know that you might know what you talking about.

Matt unless you can provide evidence to disprove Audi's 83 consecutive monthly sales records you are just ruining your credibility. You are all talk and no proof.

Everyone's putting cash on the hoods to get cars off the lots. So to say that it's only b/c of this that Audi's sales are increasing, it's just not true. I see lower borrowing rates and cash back in my area.
Similar deals from all the luxury makes.
Sales of the A4 are probably lower because buyers are likely moving to the A5 Sportback. I know I'd go the SB route if I was in the market.
