SPIED on the STREET! Which All-new Ride Was Nabbed On One Of La La Land's Freeways?
While this week was a big one for the southern California car scene with the 2017 Los Angeles Auto Show (LAAS) in town, something was spotted outside of the event. We love these types of stories.

Captured on one of SoCal's freeways, the all-new BMW 8-Series was nabbed in its full camouflage.

From what I can tell it appears to be the standard 8-Series and not the M8. Note there's no serious aerodynamic tricks, standard side view mirrors and a standard exhaust. Clearly, it is equipped with a rather large wheel and tire package but it's in a very traditional cross-spoke alloy design.

I'd guess BMW is going to go super classy with the all-new 8-Series. That's sort of a disappointment given the original 8-Series was a completely innovative take on the Bavarian's design philosophy of the that era.

Special thanks to The Snob Magazine for the tip off.

Looks like ALL of the boldness of the concept has been thrown away for an homage to 2008.

We shall see.

It's looking very Bangle-era 6-Series right now...

And that's a TERRIBLE development if its true.

Agreed.

Granted, I wasn't so impressed with the concept in the first place. Bangle 6 meets Aston Martin Vanquish?

PASS!

I'm not the intended demographic either. For that money, I'd go with a Z06 or a ZR1 if I was going coupe or the really nice new CLS.

@AgentOOR - I went back and looked at the photos of the concept. It is a complete Aston Martin DB9/Vanquish rip off. If you squint you would say it is a DB9 hands down.
