Lamborghini Offically Unveils The 641HP Urus SUV - Who Should Run, Duck And Cover?
Lamborghini has officially re-entered the SUV sector, as their brand new, high-performance Urus SUV looks ready slay any and all opponents in its segment.

According to Lamborghini, the Urus' 4.0-liter twin turbo V8 engine will help it fit in perfectly alongside the Aventador and the Gallardo, and based on sheer numbers alone, it's easy to understand why.

As far as I can see, the Urus is in a League of One. It's a super-luxury sportscar-like SUV. It likely won't erode Bentayga sales, as the Bentley aims at high luxury rather than at the sporting angle.

Lamborghini will be the benefactor if this product makes them a profit. Otherwise, Lamborghini (and its parent company, VW... and possibly Urus owners) will suffer if the Urus ends up being a sales flop.

@TheSteve, With a shared platform and shared engine as well as a host of other parts available through the global VW supply chain, this SUV will be a nice profitable addition to the Lamborghini bottom line.

What a brilliant luxury product! Love the Countach wheel openings/arches! Love the interior!

Yes, parts of it inside look like an Audi if you squint..but that is all eclipsed by the fact that this is the new viagra-taking, 3rd-wife seeking, mid-life crisis, richer than average, white guy/rap star/pro sports/East European/Eurasian mafia member vehicle of choice.

It will outsell the Bentayga 5 to 1.

Good thing most Bentley dealers are co-branded with Lambo already. They can just adjust their allocation.

Yah! The new widebody coupe-style Touareg/Cayenne is here. Cool beans. Can't wait to hear the engine & see more of the interior.

If this new Lambo SUV is not priced at at least $275,000., I am not interested.

It looks like a Mitsubishi crossover. This simply isn't (1) a Lamborghini or (2) worth their price structure. If it's price is higher than $100K, it's overpriced.

Completely agree...yawn! AND they’re diluting the brand....

I agree on this b/c unlike their existing supercars - whose structures are fairly unique to the brand & to the specific performance benchmarks - the Urus has been built using a shared platform giving the brutish-looking SUV a sort of "familiar" look - making it look very derivative of the Cayenne/Q7/Touareg. All very capable SUVs in their own right, however not particularly special to the Lamborghini brand. So pricing it near $200k would be pure arrogance and to keep it exclusive.

Now, with that...I see that the SUV's ride height isn't as low as I'd prefer - for a Lambo. Maybe it's adjustable & can go lower than what it was set at during the auto show reveal, idk.

Also, idc about a Lambo that can climb a mountain. Make a different Lambo SUV for that purpose. I just need it to have sexy SUV proportions and be capable of laying down a long strip of rubber on the streets & track.

and the black rocker trim and lower rear fascia trim doesn't add to the ultra-lux performance stance as well.

i know the engine/powertrain/suspension systems are spectacular. and even the driver instrument cluster/center stack/center console are really slick. however, aside from the Lambo front fascia - overall it could be a really-really nice Q7 4-dr coupe SUV.

you see that full side shot & kind of get the feeling that it didn't have be as "bulky" looking or it could've been a little longer with a much lower roof-line.

With all the cuts and conflicting style lines, my eyes are very confused.

People with the discretionary income to buy these high price vehicles care most about being first on their block to drive the latest fastest and expensive toy. Its why sales peak in two years and have to be updated with even more radical performance, styling and ons at even higher prices. Move over Bentley here comes Lambo to be outdone in a few years by Aston and then Ferrari...after which the new product cycle starts over again.

Looks like a longer, wider, lifted Honda CRX. Maybe Acura was premature in ceasing production fo the ZDX after all.
