STUD or DUD? What Do YOU Make Of Lamborghini's FIRST SUV, The Urus? Is It ALL You Wanted Or A Bit...Lame?
I am not entirely sure if there were a lot of people sitting and eagerly awaiting a Lamborghini sport-utility vehicle, but I do know that the media has been awaiting the day this supercar manufacturer's SUV was revealed. That's because it makes for a story.

There's just a couple things to consider: 1) It's not particularly groundbreaking in any respect, and 2) The all-new Urus features extreme styling for an SUV.

2017 Los Angeles Auto Show

As with any raging bull, the Urus makes no apologies for its rather busy look. That includes the exterior AND the interior, which is rife with several information displays as well as a couple controls that handle the Urus' driving modes.

Oh, and the Urus is immensely powerful. Making use of a 4.0-liter, twin-turbocharged V8, it will produce over 640 horsepower and hustle to 60 mph in about 3.7 seconds.

But if I am honest, this all sort of means nothing. That's because you have to look at it and design is super critical in auto sales. So, let us hear it, Spies: Is the all-new Lamborghini Urus a STUD or DUD? Is this the high-performance SUV you were waiting for?

It's not my cup of tea, but I'm curious how well it'll sell.

No offense Steve but nothing seems to be your cup of tea.

Do you read ALL my posts, or just focus on the ones that support your biases?

Love it. Exactly what a modern Lamborghini SUV should look like.

Looks like it was built with Legos.

While the Lambi is really nice - I don't understand WHY.
IF I want a 4x4 - I buy a truck based one that will handle off road and farm work. Off Road is not a place for racing a car. If I want a supercar - I would buy a Ferrari or Lambo sports car - an SUV will never attain that level of performance and handling on dry pavement. ANd I can probably buy BOTH for the price of this monster. I suppose there are those who cannot afford an additional Garage at their estate! OR do not have the property!

I can ALMOST see why people in the Middle class need an all purpose vehicle - but I have found in the past that if the snow is so deep that I cannot get there in a regular car - few others will get there in their SUVs either. ANd front wheel drive does do well in most snow accumulations. I would suggest that a person could RENT a Truck cheaper - only when they need it - instead of trying to have everything in one.

AS far as how it will sell - just like most of these cars - they are probably already ALL spoken for by an elite class who buys them to put into their collections - and they will never ever get as dirty as the one shown above!

You bring up a good point. SUVs work for the middle class because they cannot buy multiple cars specific to each job. The upper class who can afford this can.

With that said, this has one thing going for it - it stands out from the pack. Nothing else on the road looks like it and people will buy it for that reason.

I was just about to say. The Italians got inspired by Lexus this time and the results are impressive.

If you put the Lexus logo on it, this would be ugly and polarizing. But since it's a Lambo, so it's beautiful. (sarcasm)

Front looks like Macan and RX having children. Back looks like Audi and NX. Side profile looks like a smaller F-Pace

Killer a total stand out in the SUV market.. this will get you noticed for all the right reasons, And most road going, sports cars and all SUV's will eat the Lambo dust...
why ask why, but rather, Why not?
this is the "Why not" of all the Extra-Premium SUV's, make perfect sense to anyone with money enough to own one... full on winner.
