Orders Keep Piling In For Tesla's New All-Electric Semi Truck

Article: "...All told, by that count, Tesla has at least 140 semis pre-ordered. ..."

140 orders.

Do 140 orders sound like this article's subject, "Orders Keep Piling In For Tesla's New All-Electric Semi Truck"?

Well, they received orders for 90 in one day. Yesterday (or it might have been Thursday) both Sysco and Anheuser-Busch ordered a bunch. Considering the price per unit, it is a pretty good stream. I agree that "piling" is a bit strong. I might instead say 'steadily coming in".

Tesla getting orders isn't the issue. The issues are quality control (spotty) and just being able to build cars. They can't build the Model 3 that supposedly had 500K orders. That was 100% BS. Now we have more BS here.

Until Battery production is sorted out at the Giga plant - they can introduce a new car every hour - and it would still be meaningless - they cannot produce the battery packs for the cars - and the batteries on the open market are in short supply already.

IT still remains - the Model 3 has to be able to make a profit for the company - and if THAT does not happen quick - the truck (remembering that a 2019 production date is meaningless until they set a date for the first produced vehicle to be sold) is still a dream with no potential production at all right now.

Maybe Elan will have to accompany his car to Mars to get away from the "loving" hoards.

Which wing nut company is looking to purchase a brand new, untested, essential 'beta test model' of the new Tesla electric tractor.
A prudent trucking company relies on time tested RELIABLE tractors. With Tesla's pathetic record of reliability, I find it surprising that so many companies are allegedly signing up for early delivery. This is actually funny.

making an order and taking delivery are 2 different things, especially if you can put writedown money for R&D for green tech.
