Civic R Type Awakens A Primal Urge In Millennials

There was something special about having an old Compact (Chevy Nova - Dodge ASpen) that you built a special motor for and could blow the doors off of the rest on the road while looking completely incognito. Maybe you even left it with only primer coat in some areas.

While I admit that today's cars "handle" better - while what we did back then was basically straight line speed (THAT is what happens when you live within bicycle distance of Raceway Park) - it appears that having a car that SHOUTS from the highest hills that it is supposed to be fast - is Au courant. A HOT WHEELS car for the real roads is simply too over the top for me. Of course - you really cannot "work" the engine anymore with computers and emissions standards - so I guess that a Full SIZE Tonka TRUCK will have to do.

Bigoted stereotype.
