So, help me understand, if these apps get people into jams then why are they still being used?

Check out google maps...Leonia is an excellent short cut to avoid what sometimes be 90 minutes of bumper to bumper traffic to go the final 2 miles on I95/I80 from NJ to the George Washington Bridge (yes, of Chris Christie Bridgegate fame).

At rush hour (i.e. the time the residents of Leonia goto work or take their kids to school) the traffic dumps out onto residential streets - perhaps much like some parts of the LA area.

Its really a problem without a solution because I doubt this will hold up in court. Leonia needs a traffic study and should put restrictive, time-controlled, traffic restrictions and additional one-way streets to solve the problem.

Leonia should just close their 70A exit off of I80 Eastbound between 7AM and 10AM Mon thru Fri - that would instantly solve the problem.

I'm not going there anyway, so whatever they want to do is fine.
