Trump Forces South Korea Back To The Bargaining Table To Balance Trade
The United States and South Korea will hold talks on the U.S.-Korea Free Trade Agreement on Jan. 5 in Washington, U.S. and South Korean trade officials said on Wednesday.

U.S. President Donald Trump has threatened to withdraw from the trade deal, which was hammered out by his Democratic predecessor Barack Obama.

Trump wants to change the agreement to help cut the United States' nearly $28 billion trade deficit with South Korea.

Negotiating a deal for Hyundai to buy the American brands of FCA would be a genius quid pro quo for not resolving the quid pro quo. Obama gave Chrysler to Fiat. Maybe Trump should give Chrysler to Hyundai to protect American jobs, which Sergio is clearly NOT doing.

Not that your opinion about our elections matters--unless you're voting here illegally of course--the Democrats don't get it. The more they rail against Trump, the more the grassroots people who put him in the White House double down.

Trying to change a bilateral deal that was signed in good faith by each nation is a good way for people not to trust you and not want to do business with you in the future. You can't run the nation like you run a frequently bankrupted property development firm. Time will tell where these tactics take the agreement.

The fact that you're not an American yet have the hubristic attitude to tell another country how to be notwithstanding...Those who say you cannot run a country like a company "prove" it illogically by raising taxes again and again so that the economy grenades and people are enslaved to the government. Running the country like a business and being strict with the cost/benefit ratio would cause untold prosperity. Canada does nothing for us so on the cost/benefit ratio, its opinion matters not.

You can both feel free to think that way but the smart money knows the current administration will have just one term. A bar of soap could win the next Presidential election and not even have to lather up. The joke will be over and the adults will once again be in charge and running the ship. 30% of the vote won't be able to save Trump nor will the GOP be able to entice votes from a 18-34 age group that will dominate the electorate. BTW Obama got 2 terms and could have won a 3rd. "Don't stop thinking about tomorrow, don't stop it will soon be here.." :)
